Sylvia Lucas, MD, PhD
Sylvia Lucas, MD, PhD, is Clinical Professor of Neurology and Neurological Surgery and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center. She is the holder of the Wadsworth Term Professorship in Headache Research and Practice. She received her doctoral and medical degrees from the University of Washington, She completed her neurology residency and was Chief Resident at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is the founder of the University of Washington's Headache Center and Headache Fellowship program, and currently specializes in women's special issues in headache medicine and secondary headache. Dr. Lucas' research interests include traumatic brain injury, posttraumatic headache, and intracranial hypertension.
